If you have completed mediation training and would like to volunteer with our vibrant programs, we would like to hear from you today! Whether newly trained or a veteran of the field, you will gain new perspectives and refine your skills while working with our vibrant group of mediators and our diverse participants.

When you have completed the application, please return it by fax or email along with a brief resume and copies of your training certificate(s) to our office.

After we receive and review your application, we will schedule your orientation.

At an NCRC Orientation, you will:

∞     Learn about the range of mediation opportunities that NCRC offers

∞     Learn how to handle paperwork and court protocol as appropriate

∞     Receive a copy of the NCRC Mediator’s Handbook

APPRENTICESHIP: Once approved for apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to observe at least two NCRC mediations and to co-mediate at least three times with seasoned volunteers. This provides you the opportunity to experience how our different programs run and practice your skills in real settings with constructive feedback.

MEDIATE: When you have successfully completed your apprenticeship, you can join our list of qualified NCRC Mediators, choosing what and when to mediate as your schedule allows.

NCRC schedules mediations across a range of programs Monday through Friday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, as well as on occasional Saturday mornings. If you have the training and the desire to mediate, we have plenty of opportunities for you!
